Change your language
A wise and respected woman once told me that "those that I love will be indentified by the way I speak about them." My son will be known as strong and brave and helpful and hilarious by what I share with others. My husband will be a gentleman or a jerk depending on the weight of my tongue. My daughter will be my brilliant star if I tell others how she shines to me. And my Christian brother and sister. How will I identify you? The world will know that I will call you my body and my treasure. I will not curse you or slander you to any other. I am honored to be apart of you and to be associated with you. It is the voice of hurt and defense that calls you by any other name. If Ifault in any way, it is that I have remained quiet when others, your own, have slandered your name. Brother, you have lifted me up, prayed for me, led me to understanding and the riches of truth. Sister, you have listened attentively, taking on my faults and mishaps as your own. The world already seeks out to destroy us, and so I will not let my mouth or my heart speak against you. And if I boast in anything, I boast in this, my love runs deep for you and that I take joy in being apart of you.
