I have this friend. She is truly just one that gets me. We are opposites. She's the color red and I am blue. I like how I don't have to say much or explain when I am not saying much. I like how we can talk for hours and laughter colors our conversation in yellow.
I have this other friend. She and I are both deeply passionate. I like how she pens her thoughts and honors the writings of another. This friend could gaze over wild waters atop a hillside and never grow tired of the scene. And when her personal scene has been stripped, changed, altered, and flipped upside down without her choice, she has walked steady and with maturity as her stand.
And yes there is another friend. The curl in her defines her perfectly...zippidydoda! How else better can I say that she is a California Roll one night and a slice of NY Pizza the next. She is ever-changing, but in the deepest of her hearts she wants what she deserves...a love to settle her and skip down the sidewalk with her.
At last I speak of the two. They are my treasure. A gushing hot pink tulip with dreams that can build kingdoms. And what about my blue hydrangea. Calming, she collects me, reminds me of who I am, and waits at the finish line for me after every life event. What a friend I have found in these two. Some might say I was given them, for they are my sisters...and yet I choose to believe that every relationship requires cultivation and harvesting.
To these friends...I love that you have made me the Robyn that I am.
